RP Energy boosts Castillejos town’s traffic and security capabilities

Posted on: January 9th, 2015 by jtorres

In an effort to contribute to the security and well-being of its stakeholder communities, Redondo Peninsula Energy, Inc. (RP Energy) recently turned over brand new safety vests, LED flashlights and hand reflectors to the Town of Castillejos for the use of its 25-man traffic force. The donation is part of RP Energy’s ‘Kasangga Mo’ corporate social responsibility initiative that aims to assist in the peace and order situation of surrounding communities. According to RP Energy CSR manager Victor Chan, “while valuable to any community, the donation is only a part of what we have planned under the initiative. We also want to enhance the skills of community leaders and officers through capacity-building activities. These include seminar-workshops on community leadership, conflict resolution, disaster risk reduction, disaster response, and crisis management.” Castillejos Mayor Angelo Dominguez, meanwhile, thanked RP Energy for its support for the community. “Mahalaga ang Kasangga Mo! para sa pagpapalawig ng peace and security sa Castillejos. Tiyak na matutuwa at mas gaganahan pa sa pagtrabaho ang ating mga traffic officers dahil sa regalo mula sa RP Energy.” Chan added, “we hope to continue this meaningful partnership with Castillejos and RP Energy definitely looks forward to working with more local leaders in surrounding communities. As a responsible corporate citizen, RP Energy believes in investing in its host communities. By focusing on peace and order, we help in building a safe and peaceful environment not only for the residents but also for local businesses as well.” Since its initial run in 2012, RP Energy’s Kasangga Mo! Initiative has already covered more than 400 police auxiliary units in 17 stakeholder communities including the Law Enforcement Department of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.
